For Every Mountain - God Is Sovereign - Eph. 1:11

This is Namma for Christ with the seventy-seventh inspirational message dated Saturday, January 23rd, 2016. The title of this message is: "For Every Mountain - God Is Sovereign - Eph. 1:11". This message is based on the below scripture text from Ephesians as found in the New Testament  - where the writer, the Apostle Paul, informs the reader about the SOVEREIGNTY of GOD and how GOD "works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will" :

Ephesians 1:11

New International Version (NIV)

11 In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will...

Sovereignty of God

The Sovereignty of God is the biblical teaching that all things are under God's rule and control, and that nothing happens without His direction or permission. God works not just some things but all things according to the counsel of His own will (see Eph. 1:11). His purposes are all-inclusive and never thwarted (see Isa. 46:11); nothing takes Him by surprise. The sovereignty of God is not merely that God has the power and right to govern all things, but that He does so, always and without exception. In other words, God is not merely sovereign de jure (in principle), but sovereign de facto (in practice).

Quotes

"What do we mean by [the sovereignty of God]? We mean the supremacy of God, the kingship of God, the god-hood of God. To say that God is Sovereign is to declare that God is God. To say that God is Sovereign is to declare that He is the Most High, doing according to His will in the army of Heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth, so that none can stay His hand or say unto Him what doest Thou? (Dan. 4:35). To say that God is Sovereign is to declare that He is the Almighty, the Possessor of all power in Heaven and earth, so that none can defeat His counsels, thwart His purpose, or resist His will (Psalm 115:3). To say that God is Sovereign is to declare that He is "The Governor among the nations" (Psalm 22:28), setting up kingdoms, overthrowing empires, and determining the course of dynasties as pleaseth Him best. To say that God is Sovereign is to declare that He is the "Only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords" (1 Tim. 6:15). Such is the God of the Bible." A. W. Pink, The Sovereignty of God, chapter 1.

God's sovereignty in salvation

God's sovereignty in salvation means that He saves whom He will, and those whom He saves owe nothing to anything in or of themselves. They are saved because God graciously chose them in eternity and regenerated and called them in history. They cannot even take credit for their faith because it is the gift that He Himself sovereignly bestows. (Ephesians 2: 8-10)

Ephesians 2:8-10

New International Version (NIV)

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Sovereignty of God – Bible verses:

Romans 8:28

New International Version (NIV)

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

Isaiah 55:8-9

New International Version (NIV)

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways My ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are My ways higher than your ways
and My thoughts than your thoughts.

Ephesians 1:11
New International Version (NIV)

11 In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will…

Isaiah 46:11

New International Version (NIV)

11 From the east I summon a bird of prey;
from a far-off land, a man to fulfill My purpose.
What I have said, that I will bring about;
what I have planned, that I will do.

Jeremiah 32:17

New International Version (NIV)

17 “Ah, Sovereign Lord, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for You.

New International Version (NIV)

and said:
Lord, the God of our ancestors, are You not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in Your hand, and no one can withstand You.

Psalm 115:3

New International Version (NIV)

Our God is in heaven;
    He does whatever pleases Him.

Psalm 22:27-28

New International Version (NIV)

27 All the ends of the earth
will remember and turn to the Lord,
and all the families of the nations
    will bow down before Him,
28 for dominion belongs to the Lord
and He rules over the nations.

Forgiveness - Mark 11:25

This is Namma for Christ with the seventy-sixth inspirational message dated - Friday, January 1st, 2016.

This message is about FORGIVENESS - God forgives us and He wants us to forgive others.

The title of this message is "Forgiveness- Mark 11:25".This was first written by me on September 26th, 2012 - I want to share this message "again" with you. Also, I have included "forgiveness" scriptures at the end of the message.

Please read and enjoy the song and video at the end of the message entitled, "Forgiveness" - by Matthew West - sung with power and anointing! This message is based on the below scripture text found in the book of Mark from the New Testament (KJV):

Mark 11:25

King James Version (KJV)

25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

(Below is the previous "FORGIVENESS" message of 9/26/12):

This is Namma for Christ sharing with you my fourth inspirational message. This is being sent on 9/26/2012 - the subject and the title are the same: FORGIVENESS. The scripture is coming from: Mark 11:25 - "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive your trespasses." Recently, at my church, the associate minister did a great job giving a sermon on Joseph, his brothers and "forgiveness". This minister showed how Joseph forgave His brothers for their mistreatment of him and how Jesus forgives us for our sins. We, as Christians try to live the best that we can - but all have sinned. We are all sinners saved by God's Grace. As Romans 3:23 reminds us - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." In Genesis 37:24, Joseph was betrayed by his brothers and they cast him into a pit. Soon after, as found in Genesis 37:28, his brothers drew him out of the pit and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver, who then took him to Egypt. As the bible story continues, Joseph rises in position to eventually be second in command over Egypt, right under Pharaoh. In Genesis 41:40, Pharaoh tells Joseph, "You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you." In verse Genesis 41:56, it states what happened after Joseph had wisely prepared and stored away food for the upcoming famine- "There was a famine over all the face of the earth, and Joseph opened all the storehouses and sold to the Egyptians". The same brothers of Joseph who had put him into a pit, now had to bow before him for their very survival during the famine. But, how did Joseph react when his brothers were fearful and thought Joseph would take revenge on their wrongdoing? Joseph forgave. Joseph said in Genesis 45:5 - "And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you".  Joseph also said in Genesis 50:20 - "But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive". In summary, man meant it for evil, but God meant it for good.... What does Jesus do when we come repentant and sorry for our wrongdoings...what does He do when we confess our sins? Jesus forgives...and He never stops loving us...Hebrews 13:5 says "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." "Forgiveness" is surrendering "our right" to "hurt you" for "hurting me"....if Jesus can forgive "us"....how can we "not" forgive others for hurting us? As forgiven people, we never have the right to withhold pardon from others. But remember, that forgiving does not require you to remain in an abusive situation.

1st Peter 5:7 states : WE MUST CAST ALL OUR CARE ON HIM, FOR HE CARES FOR US. JESUS IS THE ANSWER FOR ANY PROBLEM YOU OR I HAVE....
