This is Namma for Christ with the
two hundred twenty-third inspirational message dated Tuesday, April 26th, 2022.
The title of this message is “Desesperado – Isaiah 14:26-27 – God’s Purpose in
Our Hardships”.
The first word of this message’s title is also the name of
the below inspirational song/video, “Desesperado” (with lyrics) as
performed by “Evan Craft”. The below passage of scripture (that accompanies
this message) is from the Old Testament book of Isaiah – the twenty-sixth and twenty-seventh
verses of the fourteenth chapter:
Isaiah 14:26-27
New King James Version
(NKJV)
26 This is the purpose that is purposed
against the whole earth,
And this is the
hand that is stretched out over all the nations.
27 For the Lord of hosts has purposed,
And who will annul it?
His hand is stretched
out,
And who will turn it back?”
The title of this message also
includes the words “God’s
Purpose in Our Hardships” – which is the “title” of the Charles Stanley “In Touch”
Daily Devotional for (4/26/22) – which I have included below:
God’s Purpose in Our Hardships
Genesis 37
By Charles Stanley
WE ALL GO THROUGH DIFFICULT
SEASONS. When we’re hurting
but see no relief for the future, what can we be sure of?
GOD IS WITH US IN OUR TROUBLES. He gives us what we need –whether it’s His
love and strength, a sense of security, or the knowledge that we are not alone.
Jesus knows what it’s like to suffer, be rejected, and lose a loved one. He comprehends
the temptations and obstacles we face. What’s more, He carries our burdens (Psalm
68:19 see verse below) and offers
peace for our hurting heart. The God who walks with us is not limited by
anything (Matthew 19:26 see verse below),
so there’s no reason to be afraid.
Psalm 68:19
New International
Version (NIV)
19 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our
burdens.
Matthew 19:26
New International
Version (NIV)
26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are
possible.”
GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR ALLOWING HARD TIMES. In the book of Genesis, Joseph could not see God’s intensions when his brothers were plotting against him – and neither will we, most of the time. But Joseph knew the Lord’s character and trusted Him through the many trials that came his way. And Joseph’s faith was rewarded when he ultimately rescued his family (Genesis 45:1-8 see verses below).
Genesis
45:1-8
New
King James Version (NKJV)
45 Then Joseph could not restrain himself before all those who stood
by him, and he cried out, “Make everyone go out from me!” So no one stood with
him while Joseph made himself known to his brothers. 2 And he wept aloud, and the Egyptians
and the house of Pharaoh heard it.
3 Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph;
does my father still live?” But his brothers could not answer him, for they
were dismayed in his presence. 4 And
Joseph said to his brothers, “Please come near to me.” So they came near. Then
he said: “I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into
Egypt. 5 But now, do not therefore be
grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me
before you to preserve life. 6 For
these two years the famine has been in the land, and there
are still five years in which there will be neither
plowing nor harvesting. 7 And
God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth,
and to save your lives by a great deliverance. 8 So now it was not
you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a
father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all
the land of Egypt.
We
are called to live a life of faith. That means we are to believe God’s promises
even if our circumstances confound us. When troubles surround you, remember
what is true: God will never desert you nor abandon you (Hebrews 13:5 see verse below), and His good purposes
will always be accomplished (Isaiah 14:27 see
verse below).
Hebrews 13:5
New King James Version
(NKJV)
5 Let
your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He
Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Isaiah 14:27
New Life Version (NLV)
27 For the Lord of All has planned, and who can keep
it from happening? Who can turn His hand back?
