WE MUST "EMPTY" OURSELVES OF WHAT "WE" CAN DO (ON OUR OWN) AND TOTALLY DEPEND ON JESUS TO HELP US - NO MATTER WHAT WE ARE GOING THROUGH OR WHATEVER WE NEED.
IN GOD'S HOLY WORD, 2ND CORINTHIANS 12:7, THE APOSTLE PAUL STATES THAT "HE WAS GIVEN A THORN IN THE FLESH"...IN VERSES 8-10 (PROVIDED BELOW), PAUL STATES THAT HE "BESOUGHT THE LORD - THREE TIMES "THAT IT MAY DEPART FROM HIM" AND PAUL'S REPLY FROM THE LORD WAS PROVIDED IN VERSE 9- AND HE SAID UNTO ME : "MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR THEE: FOR MY STRENGTH IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS".
During one of the most difficult times in my life...I remember praying and "crying" out to God asking WHY?...WHY was I going through such a challenging, tough and "faith-testing" time...God answered me....by directing me to HIS WORD...."this" scripture came to me: 2nd Corinthians 12:9 - "And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness."
I was comforted and ministered by GOD's HOLY WORD. I felt immediately humbled when I "thought on" this verse. I was reminded of God's GRACE and LOVE for me. I also was reminded of GOD'S GRACE AND LOVE FOR "ALL HIS CHILDREN".
JESUS (through HIS WORD) HELPED ME TO TAKE MY EYES "OFF" OF ME AND MY "TEMPORARY AND PRESENT PROBLEMS"...AND HE HAD ME "RE-FOCUS" ON OUR "SOVEREIGN GOD", "HIS" SUFFICIENCY AND "HIS" GREAT LOVE, MERCY AND GRACE! GOD ALSO SHOWED ME THAT WHEN "I WAS WEAK" - (WHEN I DEPENDED ON THE LORD'S STRENGTH) AND WHEN I TOTALLY YIELDED EVERYTHING TO HIM AND TO HIS WILL - THEN I "BECAME STRONG". I WAS "STRONG" ONLY WHEN GOD IMPARTED "HIS STRENGTH" TO ME - THROUGH HIS HOLY SPIRIT.
I PRAY THAT YOU MAY BE STRENGTHENED BY OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST IN WHATEVER "CHALLENGE" YOU ARE GOING THROUGH.
MAY WE PRAY TO "CONTINUALLY AND ALWAYS" YIELD "OUR WILL" FOR OUR LIVES" TO BE "HIS WILL" FOR OUR LIVES - TO GIVE ALL THE GLORY AND HONOR TO GOD!
PLEASE BE REMINDED OF GOD'S GREAT LOVE, MERCY, FORGIVENESS AND GRACE THAT HE EXTENDS TOWARDS "ALL HIS CHILDREN".
