This is Namma for Christ with the two
hundred eighty-ninth inspirational message dated Thursday, July 10th, 2025. The
title of this message is “When I Fall – Exodus 4:10-13 – When Doubt Is at Work”.
The first three words of this message’s
title are also the words of the title
of the below anointed song/video, “When I Fall (with lyrics)” as performed by
Katy Nichole.
The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this
message) is from the tenth through the thirteenth verses of the fourth chapter
of Exodus – as written by Moses:
Exodus 4:10-13
New Life Version - (NLV)
10 Moses said to the Lord, “Lord, I am
not a man of words. I have never been. Even now since You spoke to Your
servant, I still am not. For I am slow in talking and it is difficult for me to
speak.” 11 Then
the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes a man not able to
speak or hear? Who makes one blind or able to see? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 So go now. And I will be
with your mouth. I will teach you what to say.”
13 But Moses said, “O Lord, I ask of You,
send some other person.”
The title of this
message includes the words – “When Doubt Is at Work” –
which is the “title” of the late
Dr. Charles Stanley’s “In Touch” Daily Devotional for (April 27th, 2025) –
which I have included below (Dr. Charles Stanley passed away on 4/18/23).
Dr. Charles Stanley was the founder of the “In Touch” daily devotional. Those
who work on behalf of this daily devotional are continuing its publication - as
it ministers to readers around the world. I recently read the below message and
wanted to share this message in “Namma for Christ”.
When Doubt Is
at Work
Exodus 4:10-13
Doubt can fill us
with uncertainty, make us indecisive, and affect our ability to connect with
God. We know doubt is at work when we struggle to believe the following truths:
- God
loves us all the time. His love for us does not fluctuate with our behavior. We can be certain of this because “God
demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us” (Rom. 5:8 – see verse below). That’s amazing grace – God loving us while we rebelled
against Him.
Romans 5:8
New King James Version - (NKJV)
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward
us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
- God
has a plan to forgive us for our disobedience. We know the Father promises to forgive
us when we confess our sins, but we often have trouble believing we are
forgiven. That’s why we must not use feelings to determine truth. God’s Word is
true, and it says, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed
our transgressions from us” (Psalm
103:12 see verse below).
Psalm 103:12
New King James Version - (NKJV)
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from
us.
- God has called us to serve Him. Our
Heavenly Father often invites us to join Him in His work, but doubt might cause
us, like Moses, to make excuses for why we can’t obey (see Exodus 4:10 above). Yet God promises He has equipped us
with everything we need to do the work He has chosen for us (see Eph. 2:10 below).
Ephesians 2:10
New King James Version - (NKJV)
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for
good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
We’ll all experience some doubts but can’t let them blind us
to the truth: Almighty God cherishes and protects His children.
