Desesperado – Isaiah 14:26-27 – God’s Purpose in Our Hardships

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred twenty-third inspirational message dated Tuesday, April 26th, 2022. The title of this message is “Desesperado – Isaiah 14:26-27 – God’s Purpose in Our Hardships”.

The first word of this message’s title is also the name of the below inspirational song/video, “Desesperado” (with lyrics) as performed by “Evan Craft”.  The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the Old Testament book of Isaiah – the twenty-sixth and twenty-seventh verses of the fourteenth chapter:

Isaiah 14:26-27

New King James Version (NKJV)

26 This is the purpose that is purposed against the whole earth,
And this is the hand that is stretched out over all the nations.
27 For the Lord of hosts has purposed,
And who will annul it?
His hand is stretched out,
And who will turn it back?”

The title of this message also includes the words “God’s Purpose in Our Hardships – which is the “title” of the Charles Stanley “In Touch” Daily Devotional for (4/26/22) – which I have included below:

God’s Purpose in Our Hardships

 Genesis 37

By Charles Stanley

WE ALL GO THROUGH DIFFICULT SEASONS. When we’re hurting but see no relief for the future, what can we be sure of?

     GOD IS WITH US IN OUR TROUBLES. He gives us what we need –whether it’s His love and strength, a sense of security, or the knowledge that we are not alone. Jesus knows what it’s like to suffer, be rejected, and lose a loved one. He comprehends the temptations and obstacles we face. What’s more, He carries our burdens (Psalm 68:19 see verse below) and offers peace for our hurting heart. The God who walks with us is not limited by anything (Matthew 19:26 see verse below), so there’s no reason to be afraid.

Psalm 68:19

New International Version (NIV)

19 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.

Matthew 19:26

New International Version (NIV)

26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR ALLOWING HARD TIMES. In the book of Genesis, Joseph could not see God’s intensions when his brothers were plotting against him – and neither will we, most of the time. But Joseph knew the Lord’s character and trusted Him through the many trials that came his way. And Joseph’s faith was rewarded when he ultimately rescued his family (Genesis 45:1-8 see verses below).

Genesis 45:1-8

New King James Version (NKJV)

45 Then Joseph could not restrain himself before all those who stood by him, and he cried out, “Make everyone go out from me!” So no one stood with him while Joseph made himself known to his brothers. And he wept aloud, and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard it.

Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph; does my father still live?” But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed in his presence. And Joseph said to his brothers, “Please come near to me.” So they came near. Then he said: “I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

       We are called to live a life of faith. That means we are to believe God’s promises even if our circumstances confound us. When troubles surround you, remember what is true: God will never desert you nor abandon you (Hebrews 13:5 see verse below), and His good purposes will always be accomplished (Isaiah 14:27 see verse below).

Hebrews 13:5

New King James Version (NKJV)

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Isaiah 14:27

New Life Version (NLV)

27 For the Lord of All has planned, and who can keep it from happening? Who can turn His hand back?

I Call You Faithful – Isaiah 26:3 – His Peace

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred twenty-second inspirational message dated Sunday, April 3rd, 2022. The title of this message is “I Call You Faithful – Isaiah 26:3 – His Peace”.

The first four words of this message’s title are also the words in the name of the below inspirational song/video, “I Call You Faithful” (with lyrics) as performed by Donnie McClurkin.  The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the Old Testament book of Isaiah – the third verse of the twenty-sixth chapter:

Isaiah 26:3

New King James Version (NKJV)

You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,

Because he trusts in You.

For many years, I have enjoyed reading the daily inspirational messages as provided by Our Daily Bread Ministries in their publications of "OUR DAILY BREAD".

I recently read the message for the day (for March 28th, 2022) and found it to be so inspiring, memorable and “thought-provoking”.

 I wanted to share this message with you (see the below message). Our Daily Bread Ministries has the website of: www.odb.org so that you can read and enjoy life-changing wisdom of daily inspirational messages based on scripture from the Bible. Please read and enjoy:

HIS PEACE

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.  – Isaiah 26:3

Today's Scripture & Insight:

Isaiah 26:3-7

For several months, I coped with intense workplace politics and intrigues. Worrying is second nature to me, so I was surprised to find myself at peace. Instead of feeling anxious, I was able to respond with a calm mind and heart. I knew that this peace could come only from God.

In contrast, there was another period in my life when everything was going well – and yet I felt a deep unrest in my heart. I knew it was because I was trusting in my own abilities instead of trusting God and His leading. Looking back, I’ve realized that true peace – God’s peace – isn’t defined by our circumstances, but by our trust in Him.

God’s peace comes to us when our minds are steadfast (Isaiah 26:3 – see verse above). In Hebrew, the word for steadfast means “to lean upon”. As we lean on Him, we’ll experience His calming presence. We can trust in God, remembering that He’ll humble the proud and wicked and smooth the paths of those who love Him (Isaiah 26:5-7 – see verses below).

Isaiah 26:5-7

New Life Version (NLV)

For He has brought down low those who live on a high place, the high city. He lays it low. He lays it low to the ground. He throws it to the dust. It will be crushed under foot, under the feet of those who have suffered and the steps of those who cannot help themselves.”

The way of the man who is right with God is smooth. O Upright One, make the path straight of those who are right with You.

When I experienced peace in a season of difficulty rather than ease, I discovered that God’s peace isn’t an absence of conflict, but a profound sense of security even in distress. It’s a peace that surpasses human understanding and guards our hearts and minds in the midst of the most difficult of circumstances (Philippians 4:6-7 – see verses below).

Philippians 4:6-7

New King James Version (NKJV)

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Lord You Are Good - John 1:12-13 – Intimacy with Our Heavenly Father

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred twenty-first inspirational message dated Friday, April 1st, 2022. The title of this message is “Lord You Are Good - John 1:12-13 – Intimacy with Our Heavenly Father”.

The first four words of this message’s title are also the words in the name of the below inspirational song/video, “Lord You Are Good” (with lyrics) as performed by “Todd Galbert”.  The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the New Testament book of John – the twelfth and thirteenth verses of the first chapter:

John 1:12-13

New King James Version (NKJV)

12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

The title of this message also includes the words “Intimacy with Our Heavenly Father – which is the “title” of the Charles Stanley “In Touch” Daily Devotional for (3/25/22) – which I have included below:

Intimacy With Our Heavenly Father

 John 1:12-13

By Charles Stanley

Our Creator never intended to be distant from mankind. Instead, He has always wanted an intimate, loving relationship with us. We know this because …

-      HE SENT HIS SON. Christ came to earth so we could know God the Father. Jesus is His exact representation; His words and works were the same as God’s (John 5:19; John 12:50 – see verses below). Therefore, when we look at the Son, we are seeing the character of our Father in heaven.

John 5:19

New King James Version (NKJV)

19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

John 12:50

New King James Version (NKJV)

50 And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”

-      HE ADOPTED US AS HIS CHILDREN. Through salvation, God invites us to join His family (John 1:12 - see verse above). This close relationship with our heavenly Father lasts for eternity, providing us with support, encouragement, and love.

-      HE IS OUR FRIEND FOREVER. By calling His disciples “friends” (John 15:15 - see verse below), Jesus revealed a special aspect of his relationship with His followers. Christ is a friend who will never desert or turn away from us (Heb. 13:5).

John 15:15

New King James Version (NKJV)

15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

Hebrews 13:5

New King James Version (NKJV)

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

-      HIS SPIRIT INDWELLS US. From the moment of salvation, we have the presence of the Holy Spirit within our being. He is closer to us than any earthly kin can be.

God desires intimacy with us, and our highest calling is to live for Him all of our days (Col. 3:23 – see verse below). As we do, the Spirit will transform us to resemble the Lord more and more over the course of our life.

Colossians 3:23

New Life Version (NLV)

23 Whatever work you do, do it with all your heart. Do it for the Lord and not for men.

The first three words of this message’s title are also the words in the name of the below inspirational song/video, “Yes He Does” (with lyrics) as performed by “Stars Go Dim”.  The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the New Testament book of Ephesians – the twentieth and twenty-first verses of the third chapter:

Ephesians 3:20-21

New King James Version (NKJV)

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

The title of this message also includes the words – God is Able – which is the “title” of the message which I have included below:

God Is Able

 Ephesians 3:20-21

By Namma for Christ

     This evening, (before I started writing this message) I was just praying and thanking God for the events of this day and how grateful I was to Him. I was thinking of how AWESOME OUR GOD TRULY IS! We serve a loving, merciful, forgiving, gracious, all-powerful, Sovereign and omniscient God – who does ALL things well! The accompanied scripture above – reminds us that:

 GOD IS ABLE TO DO EXCEEDINGLY AND ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE ASK OR THINK ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKS IN US THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!

GOD IS ABLE – TO DO “ANYTHING”, BUT FAIL!

        Do “you” believe this?

I truly believe that NOTHING is too hard for God! The below verse reminds us of this from Jeremiah 32:17 –

Jeremiah 32:17

New King James Version (NKJV)

 17 ‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You.

I believe that many of us (as believers) can reflect on past instances of how God worked miraculously in our lives. Many of us can say“If it hadn’t been for the Lord on our side, where would we be?”

If you are presently facing a problem, challenge or crisis – GIVE IT TO THE LORD! GOD IS ABLE! NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR HIM!

JESUS LOVES YOU!

 HE WANTS WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU!

HE IS YOUR SAVIOR! HE IS YOUR BURDEN BEARER! 1st Peter 5:7 reminds us to cast ALL our care on Jesus:

1st Peter 5:7

New King James Version (NKJV)

 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

       LET GO – AND LET GOD!

        GOD IS ABLE!

Stand In Faith – John 8:12 – Carry the Light

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred nineteenth inspirational message dated Saturday, March 12th, 2022. The title of this message is “Stand In Faith – John 8:12 – Carry the Light”.

The first three words of this message’s title are also the name of the below inspirational song/video, “Stand In Faith” (with lyrics) as performed by “Danny Gokey”.  The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the New Testament book of John – the twelfth verse of the eighth chapter:

John 8:12

New Life Version (NLV)

 12 Jesus spoke to all the people, saying, “I am the Light of the world. Anyone who follows Me will not walk in darkness. He will have the Light of Life.”

The title of this message also includes the words – Carry the Light – which is the “title” of the Charles Stanley “In Touch” Daily Devotional for (3/8/22) – which I have included below:

Carry the Light

 2nd Corinthians 4:1-6

By Charles Stanley

       THINK ABOUT LIGHT AND DARKNESS and the way they affect your ability to see. In the dark, we have no sense of direction or courage to move forward, but in the light, everything is clear. In a very real sense, this perspective holds true in the spiritual realm as well. Those who dwell in spiritual darkness cannot perceive realities about God.

      Thankfully, the Lord has the power to help us discern truth. Jesus said, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life” (John 8:12 – see above). That’s why the phrase “the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ” is the perfect description of the message of salvation (2 Cor. 4:4 - see below). It’s the good news that can transfer someone from spiritual darkness to light (Col. 1:13 - see below).

      Those who have trusted Jesus as Savior are now “children of light” (Eph. 5:8 - see below). God calls each of us to carry the gospel to an unbelieving world that cannot see in the dark. It’s important for our lifestyle to be distinct from the darkness around us. In your daily interactions, are you a light bearer who points the way to Christ?

2nd Corinthians 4:4

New King James Version (NKJV)

whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

Colossians 1:13

New King James Version (NKJV)

13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

Ephesians 5:8

New King James Version (NKJV)

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light

Love Me Like I Am – John 16:5-7 – The Best Start

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred eighteenth inspirational message dated Sunday, February 27th, 2022. The title of this message is “Love Me Like I Am – John 16:5-7 – The Best Start”.

The first five words of this message’s title are also the name of the below inspirational song/video, “Love Me Like I Am” (with lyrics) as performed by “for KING & COUNTRY”.  The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the New Testament book of John – the fifth through the seventh verses of the sixteenth chapter:

John 16:5-7

New King James Version (NKJV)

“But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

The title of this message also includes the words – The Best Start – which is the “title” of the Charles Stanley “In Touch” Daily Devotional for (2/27/22) – which I have included below:

The Best Start

 John 16:7

By Charles Stanley

       STARTING SOMETHING NEW CAN BE DIFFICULT. Whether it’s a job, a relationship, or a big move, new beginnings come with great uncertainty and require mental, physical and spiritual preparation. Thankfully, believers have everything they need to face the unknown.

      Before the crucifixion, Jesus promised the disciples that they wouldn’t be left alone – the Holy Spirit would come to live within them. In fact, being indwelled by God’s Spirit would be better than having Jesus Himself in the flesh. As He told them, “It is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you” (John 16:7).

      In addition to having the best possible guide, we’ve also been assured that God will supply our needs and equip us to do His will (Phil. 4:19; 2nd Tim. 3:16-17 - see these verses below).

Philippians 4:19

New King James Version (NKJV)

19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

2nd Timothy 3:16-17

New King James Version (NKJV)

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

So we can confidently move forward with new endeavors, knowing that the Lord will continue to lead and help us. And while most of us would prefer to see the entire path ahead, we can rest in the certainty that God will be present at every turn.

You Know My Name – Isaiah 43:1

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred seventeenth inspirational message dated Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022. The title of this message is “You Know My Name – Isaiah 43:1”.

The first four words of this message’s title are also the words in the name of the below inspirational song/video, “You Know My Name” (with lyrics) as performed by Tasha Cobbs Leonard featuring Jimi Cravity. The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the Old Testament book of Isaiah – the first verse of the forty-third chapter:

Isaiah 43:1

New King James Version (NKJV)

But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.

Recently, I was scrolling through YouTube Gospel song favorites and I saw the below video of “You Know My Name” by Tasha Cobbs Leonard featuring Jimi Cravity – and I knew that I just had to stop and listen to this song. I had heard this song sung before, but listening to it “this time” – caused me to stop and reflect on the thought-provoking and touching lyrics. Also, I noticed that the scripture that appeared in the beginning of the song – tied so beautifully with the lyrics of this anointed song.

I listened carefully and thoughtfully to the lyrics and they “touched me” so much…I knew that I would have to share “this” song in my next message. Please read the below first two verses of the forty-third chapter of Isaiah:

Isaiah 43:1-2

New King James Version (NKJV)

But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;

And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.

After reading the above two verses…

How do these verses make you feel?

Do you feel loved, comforted and safe?

God is telling us – “we” – as God’s children are “His” own and we don’t have to fear! We have been redeemed by God as believers in His Son Jesus Christ!

The last two sentences of the first verse of Isaiah 43 state what God is telling us “personally” – that we belong to Him:

“I have called you by your name;

You are Mine.

PRAISE GOD – WE ARE THE LORD’S!

See the below supporting scriptures:

John 1:12

New King James Version

12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Psalm 100:3

New King James Version

Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Psalm 139:13-14

New King James Version

13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.

Ephesians 2:10

New King James Version

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

“YOU” ARE GOD’S CHILD…

YOU ARE HIS OWN!

YOU ARE “BELOVED” and God’s “CHOSEN” and “SPECIAL” POSSESSION… (see the below verses):

1st Peter 2:9

New King James Version

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Colossians 3:12-13

New King James Version

12 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also.

Please remember that GOD IS WITH US, HE WILL STRENGTHEN US, HE LOVES US AND HE WILL PROTECT US -

Isaiah 41:10

New King James Version

10 Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Jesus promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us – see Hebrews 13:5b below:

Hebrews 13:5b

New King James Version

For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Father, thank You so much for Your reassuring voice telling me whose I am and how much I’m loved.

Please enjoy the below inspirational song/video, “You Know My Name” (with lyrics) as performed by Tasha Cobbs Leonard featuring Jimi Cravity sung with power and anointing.

Please LISTEN to the lyrics of the below accompanied song. Listen to each word…Meditate and let the words resonate with you…and… let the lyrics remind you that – YOU ARE THE LORD’s!

YOU BELONG TO THE LORD!
