This is
“Namma for Christ” with the one hundred eighty-second inspirational message
dated Saturday, March 27th, 2021. The title of this message is, “Battle
Belongs – Psalm 27:1-3 – Conquering Fears”. “Battle Belongs” (as provided
below in the accompanied video – with lyrics) is a song that I first heard on
my favorite Christian radio station STAR 99.1FM. I knew that after I heard this
song – I knew that I would want to share “this song” in my next message.
The below
scripture is what King David wrote “in acknowledging the Lord’s power over his
fears (and over his enemies) in the 1st through the 3rd
verses of the twenty-seventh chapter of Psalms.
(These verses
also happen to be “favorite verses” of my late grandmother and were “much quoted” by her):
Psalm 27:1-3
New King James Version (NKJV)
27 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the
wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
3 Though
an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.
The title of this message also includes
the words – “Conquering Fears” – which is similar
to the title of the Charles Stanley Daily Devotional for (3/19/21) – which I
have included below:
How to Conquer Your Fears
Psalm 27:1-3
By Charles Stanley
I’ve walked with the Lord for more than
seven decades now. I have read the Bible from cover to cover, preached
thousands of sermons, and written pages and pages of study material. But let me
tell you: In spite of all that, sometimes I still get scared.
When fear begins to sink in, I pray
harder, study longer, and read my Bible more closely. I decided long ago that I
would not let apprehension stop me from doing what God calls me to do. However,
before I can take a stand against fear, I have to admit it is there. That’s the
key to conquering feelings of anxiety.
I imagine you, on occasion, may feel
frightened too – whether of failure, ridicule, loneliness, or something else
entirely. There is no shame in admitting you’re afraid. In the Psalms, in fact,
King David makes this confession several times! (See Psalm 34:4 & Psalm
55:4-5). His confessions are often wrapped in prayer, acknowledging the Lord’s
power over his fears and his enemies. And these are examples we can follow.
That same power is available to you
today. God wants to cast out the fear and doubt in your life.
Are you willing
to go before Him today and say, “Lord, I’m afraid of…”?
By Charles Stanley
I
pray that you have enjoyed the above message and I pray that you will enjoy the
accompanied song.
Always
remember God’s awesome LOVE for us – His children. God loved us so much that He
sent His Son Jesus Christ to this earth for us – to redeem us of our sins so
that we may have eternal life. See John
3:16 below -
John 3:16
New King James Version (NKJV)
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not
perish but have everlasting life.
Always remember that you can cast ALL your cares on the Lord
for He cares for us – see the below
verse:
1st Peter 5:7
New King James Version (NKJV)
7casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for
you.
In the accompanied song (see
below) – Phil Wickham’s lyrics repeat:
“And every fear I lay at Your feet,
I’ll sing through the night -
Oh God, the battle belongs to You…”
Lastly, always remember - “Jesus will never leave you nor forsake
you” – see the below verse:
Hebrews 13:5b
New King James Version (NKJV)
For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Please enjoy the below song, “Battle
Belongs (with lyrics)” by Phil Wickham - performed with power and anointing.
(I do not own the rights to this song).
