31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Unstoppable Love

 Romans 8:31-39

By Charles Stanley

      GOD IS LOVE.

It is His very nature to care for His creation unconditionally. This means that no matter what we do, the Lord will not stop loving us. After reading that sentence, many people are going to think of a dozen reasons why they are an exception. So let me make this clear: God loves each of us, and the only thing preventing us from experiencing that love is our own hesitation to accept it.

The truth is, none of us deserve the Lord’s love, and yet He freely gives it anyway. Some people intellectually believe every word of the Bible but still feel unloved because they judge themselves unworthy. Their doubt acts like a dam, keeping the flow of God’s care from their heart – and the barrier will hold as long as the person believes divine love must be earned.

Romans 8:32 (see verse below) tells the good news that “God is for us,” and the cross is a stunning example: Jesus died so we could be purified and enter into a relationship with the Father. The Savior’s atoning sacrifice is itself proof of God’s love, but there are many other expressions of it, including a unique purpose and plan for each of His children. And through His sovereign control, He works every situation – whether good or bad in itself – to our benefit. Won’t you ask the Lord to reveal and help you clear away anything that might be blocking the flow of His relentless love?

Romans 8:32

New King James Version (NKJV)

32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

I Will Carry You – Eph. 6:16 – Standing Firm

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred twenty-fifth inspirational message dated Monday, May 16th, 2022. The title of this message is “I Will Carry You – Eph. 6:16 – Standing Firm”.

The first four words of this message’s title are also the words in the name of the below inspirational song/video, “I Will Carry You” (with lyrics) as performed by “Ellie Holcomb”.  The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the New Testament book of Ephesians – the sixteenth verse of the sixth chapter:

Ephesians 6:16

Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

16 In every situation take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

The title of this message also includes the words “Standing Firm – which is the “title” of the Charles Stanley “In Touch” Daily Devotional for (5/16/22) – which I have included below:

Standing Firm

 Ephesians 6:10-17

By Charles Stanley

DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU’RE IN A BATTLE EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE?

The enemy’s goal is to weaken, deceive, and lead believers astray. God protects all who belong to Him, so wicked forces can never touch our salvation (1st Peter 1:3-5 see verses below)

1st Peter 1:3-5

New King James Version (NKJV)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

But "they" (wicked forces) can lead us into sin, cause discouragement, ruin our witness for Christ, and bring about other damage.

The main charge in today’s passage is “Stand firm,” and it’s mentioned three times (verses 11, 13, 14 - see these verses in the “text” below). Paul says the purpose of the armor of God is to enable us to stand our ground in the battle, and his list of armor would not be complete without the footwear mentioned in verse 15 (see verse below). The soles of a Roman soldier’s sandals were studded with iron hobnails, which enabled him to stand his ground against an enemy assault.

Today our anchoring footwear is faith in the gospel, which not only grants us peace with the heavenly Father but also makes us Satan’s adversaries. So plant your feet and anchor yourself on a solid foundation of faith. When we don’t avail ourselves of the protection provided through Christ, we’re more likely to give way in the fight and yield to Satan’s temptations.

Ephesians 6:10-17

Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

10 Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens. 13 For this reason take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand. 14 Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest, 15 and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace. 16 In every situation take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit—which is the word of God.

Brighter Days – Romans 8:32 – God Will Provide

This is “Namma for Christ” with the two hundred twenty-fourth inspirational message dated Monday, May 2nd, 2022.  The title of this message is, “Brighter Days – Romans 8:32 – God Will Provide”.  “Brighter Days” (with lyrics) by “Blessing Offor” is a song that I first heard on my Christian radio station, Star 99.1FM. The below scripture is what the Apostle Paul wrote in the 32nd verse of the 8th chapter of Romans:

Romans 8:32

New International Version (NIV)

32 He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all – how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?

The scripture text of “this” message was taken from the “same” scripture text that I read on (May 1st, 2022) in my daily devotional book entitled: “The Word for You Today – Strength and Guidance for Daily Living”.

The inspirational message I read on May 1st, 2022, was titled – GOD WILL PROVIDE “ALL THINGS” YOU NEED.  I knew that it was a reminder that I wanted to share in my next message in my “Namma for Christ” blog. I hope you find (some of the excerpts) as inspirational as I did:

GOD WILL PROVIDE “ALL THINGS” YOU NEED

32 Will He not also…graciously give us all things?

Romans 8:32

New International Version (NIV)

The Bible says, “He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all – how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? One author gives this analogy: “Suppose a man comes upon a child being beaten by thugs. He dashes into the mob, rescues the boy, and carries him to a hospital. The youngster is nursed to health. The man pays for the child’s treatment. He learns that the child is an orphan and adopts him as his own and gives the boy his name. Then one night, months later, the father hears the son sobbing into his pillow. He goes to him and asks about the tears. “I’m worried, Daddy…about tomorrow. Where will I get food to eat? How am I going to buy clothes to stay warm? And where will I sleep?” The father is rightfully troubled. “Haven’t I showed you? Don’t you understand? I risked my life to save you. I gave my money to treat you. You wear my name. I’ve called you my son. Would I do all that and then not meet your needs?” Honestly, now. Did God save you so you would fret? Would He teach you to walk just to watch you fall? Would He be nailed to the cross for your sins and then disregard your prayers? Come on! Is Scripture teasing us when it says, “He has put His angels in charge of you to watch over you wherever you go” (Psalm 91:11 NCV see verse below)?”

Psalm 91:11

New Century Version (NCV)

11 He has put His angels in charge of you
to watch over you wherever you go.

You know better, don’t you? So stop worrying, and stand securely on His promise that He will “graciously give us all things.”
