The inspirational message I read on December 30th, 2024, was titled – “BREAKING OUT OF THE FAILURE SYNDROME”. I knew that it was a reminder that I wanted to share in my next message in my “Namma for Christ” blog. I hope you find (some of the excerpts) as inspirational as I did:

BREAKING OUT OF THE FAILURE SYNDROME

  Romans 8:37

When you have been abused, rejected, or abandoned, it’s easy to become shame based and end up with a very poor self-image. The devil knows this, so he will attack your personal confidence whenever he can find an opening. He wants you to believe that you are a failure, because without confidence you will never step out and try to do the things you truly want to do. He does not want you to fulfill God’s plans for your life. If he can make you believe that you are incapable, then you won’t even try to accomplish anything worthwhile. And even if you do make an effort, your fear of failure will seal your defeat, which, because of lack of confidence, you probably expected from the beginning. “This” is often referred to as the “failure syndrome”. You fail because of wrong beliefs, and you continue to have wrong beliefs because you fail. It’s hard to know which came first, but you find yourself in a trap you cannot seem to get out of. What’s the answer? As a redeemed child of God, the Bible says that you are “in Christ”. Jesus defeated Satan and triumphed over him at the cross. And because you are “in Christ’, His victory is your victory. You can break out of the failure syndrome and begin to succeed in life. Here is why: “Despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” Note the words, “despite all these things.” Regardless of what has happened to you in the past, God has a wonderful future in mind for you.

Jeremiah 29:11

New International Version - (NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I’ll Trust You, Lord – 1st Cor. 1:27 – BE WILLING TO LOOK FOOLISH

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred eighty-first inspirational message dated Wednesday, January 1st, 2025. The title of this message is “I’ll Trust You, Lord – 1st Cor. 1:27 – BE WILLING TO LOOK FOOLISH”.

The first four words of this message’s title are also the words of the title of the below anointed song/video, “I’ll Trust You, Lord (with lyrics)” as performed by Donnie McClurkin.

The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the twenty-seventh verse of the first chapter of 1st Corinthians:

1st Corinthians 1:27

New Living Translation - (NLT)

27 But God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And He chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.

The scripture text of “this” message was taken from the “same” scripture text that I read on (October 17th, 2024) in my daily devotional book entitled: “The Word for You Today”.

The inspirational message I read on October 17th, 2024, was titled – “BE WILLING TO LOOK FOOLISH”. I knew that it was a reminder that I wanted to share in my next message in my “Namma for Christ” blog. I hope you find (some of the excerpts) as inspirational as I did:

BE WILLING TO LOOK FOOLISH

  1st Corinthians 1:27

A pastor writes: “Poll after poll has found that most people’s number one fear is speaking in public. Death ranks number two. That means some people would rather die than speak in public. Why? It’s the fear of looking foolish…But faith is the willingness to look foolish. Noah looked foolish building an ark in the desert. Sarah looked foolish buying maternity clothes at ninety. The Israelites looked foolish marching around Jericho blowing trumpets. David looked foolish attacking Goliath with a slingshot…The wise men looked foolish following yonder star. Peter looked foolish stepping out of the boat in the middle of the lake. And Jesus looked foolish hanging half naked on the cross. But that’s the essence of faith. And the results speak for themselves. Noah was saved from the flood. Sarah gave birth to Isaac. The walls of Jericho came tumbling down. David defeated Goliath…The wise men found the Messiah. Peter walked on water. And Jesus rose from the dead…The greatest breakthroughs, miracles, and turning points in Scripture can be traced back to someone who was willing to look foolish.” Why? Read this Scripture: “‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts’(Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV). So here is your choice: Live by earthly thoughts and ways and be accepted by men, or live by heavenly thoughts and ways and be accepted by God. When you see it from that perspective, your choice is clear.
