Desperate – Job 13:15 – KEEP TRUSTING GOD

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred eighty-fifth inspirational message dated Saturday, March 15th, 2025. The title of this message is “Desperate – Job 13:15 – KEEP TRUSTING GOD:

The first word of this message’s title is also the same word of the title of the below anointed song/video, “Desperate (with lyrics)” as performed by Jamie MacDonald.

The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the thirteenth verse of the fifteenth chapter of the book of Job:

Job 13:15

New King James Version - (NKJV)

15 Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.”

The scripture text of “this” message was taken from the “same” scripture text that I read on (February 11th, 2025) in my daily devotional book entitled: “The Word for You Today”.

The inspirational message I read on February 11th, 2025, was titled – “KEEP TRUSTING GOD”. I knew that it was a reminder that I wanted to share in my next message in my “Namma for Christ” blog. I hope you find (some of the excerpts) as inspirational as I did:

KEEP TRUSTING GOD

  Job 13:15

The story of Job reads like this: Chapter 1, he is one of the wealthiest men in his generation. Chapter 2, he loses everything, including his health, his wealth, and his children. Chapter 42, he is back on top again. Wouldn’t you like to know what happened from chapters 3 through 41? If so, you should read the book of Job and find out how he had it all, lost it all, got it all back, and ended up with twice as much as he lost. Did Job have unanswered questions? Lots of them. Did he experience grief? Yes, to a depth that is hard to imagine. But Job never changed his mind about God, and God never changed His about Job. This Scripture best summarizes Job’s attitude: “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” If you’re stuck at a place you don’t understand right now, don’t give up on God or yourself. When you don’t understand your circumstances, and it feels like they’re more than you can bear, stand on this great Bible promise: “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in…the Lord, is everlasting strength” (Isaiah 26:3-4 NKJV). Trusting God does not mean He will answer all your questions, but that He will give you “perfect peace” regardless of the circumstances. Trusting God does not mean that you won’t struggle, but that He will give you “everlasting strength”. So, the word for you today is – keep trusting God, and He will bring you through this.

Strong – 2nd Peter 1:3 – DETERMINE TO FINISH STRONG

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred eighty-fourth inspirational message dated Monday, March 3rd, 2025. The title of this message is “Strong – 2nd Peter 1:3 – DETERMINE TO FINISH STRONG:

The first word of this message’s title is also the same word of the title of the below anointed song/video, “Strong (with lyrics)” as performed by Anne Wilson.

The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the third verse of the first chapter of 2nd Peter:

2nd Peter 1:3

New Living Translation - (NLT)

By His divine power, God has given us everything we need.”

The scripture text of “this” message was taken from the “same” scripture text that I read on (November 13th, 2024) in my daily devotional book entitled: “The Word for You Today”.

The inspirational message I read on November 13th, 2024, was titled – “DETERMINE TO FINISH STRONG’”. I knew that it was a reminder that I wanted to share in my next message in my “Namma for Christ” blog. I hope you find (some of the excerpts) as inspirational as I did:

DETERMINE TO FINISH STRONG

  2nd Peter 1:3

Following God means finishing what He has called you to do. Not everyone who starts out well finishes well. Occasionally we’re shocked and saddened to learn that a leader has been brought down by a moral or a financial problem. Paul writes, “Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you” (Col. 4:14). Later, he writes, “Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world” (2nd Tim. 4:10). There are three forces arrayed against you, and they never let up: the world, the flesh, and the devil. The world will try to pour you into its mold, your fleshly nature will try to drag you down, and the devil will use every trick in the book to defeat you. Paul was aware of these three forces when he said, “My life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus” (Acts 20:24 NLT). So make up your mind to complete the assignment God has given you and enjoy every minute of it. How can you finish strong? “By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the One who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. And because of His glory and excellence, He has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share His divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises” (2nd Peter 1:3-5 NLT).

I pray that you have enjoyed the above message and I pray that you will enjoy the accompanied song.

Hard Fought Hallelujah – Rom. 4:22-24 – UNDERSTANDING THE WORD ‘IMPUTED’

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred eighty-third inspirational message dated Sunday, February 23rd, 2025. The title of this message is “Hard Fought Hallelujah – Rom. 4:22-24 – UNDERSTANDING THE WORD ‘IMPUTED’”:

The first three words of this message’s title are also the same three words in the title of the below anointed song/video, “Hard Fought Hallelujah (with lyrics)” as performed by Brandon Lake.

The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the twenty-second through the twenty-fourth verses of the fourth chapter of Romans:

Romans 4:22-24

New King James Version - (NKJV)

22 And therefore “it was accounted to him (Abraham) for righteousness.”

23 Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, 24 but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,

The inspirational message I read on February 18th, 2025, was titled – “UNDERSTANDING THE WORD ‘IMPUTED’”. I knew that it was a reminder that I wanted to share in my next message in my “Namma for Christ” blog. I hope you find (some of the excerpts) as inspirational as I did:

UNDERSTANDING THE WORD “IMPUTED”

  Romans 4:22-24

Picture a transfer of funds from one account to another. Banks do it every day. Now imagine yourself destitute and unable to pay your debts. Then in an astounding act of grace, someone assumes all your debts and then transfers to your account such abundance that you never have to work or worry for the rest of your life. That’s what happened at the cross when God imputed to Jesus all your sins from the cradle to the grave and imputed all His righteousness to you. Mind-blowing isn’t it? Would you say, “No thanks, I believe in paying my own way?” Would you say, “I can’t allow you to do everything while I do nothing, so I’ll work for the rest on my life to prove myself worthy of your love and grace”? Salvation is like health food that’s labeled “no man-made additives”. Understand this:  The righteousness required for getting into heaven is not about behaving the right way, but believing the right way. You say, “But I feel such guilt when I sin.” You’re supposed to! Your new nature is reacting to sin just as your body does to food poisoning. Your boundaries have been violated and your regenerate spirit is saying that you can’t indulge in that anymore; it’s not who you are! Why did God arrange the plan of salvation in this way? Because any righteousness we could achieve falls far short of His standard. He actually calls it “filthy rags.” Understand this: Your rewards in heaven are based upon your behavior but getting into heaven is based on trusting in Christ alone.

Up + Up – Rom. 8:37 – BREAKING OUT OF THE FAILURE SYNDROME

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred eighty-second inspirational message dated Saturday, February 8th, 2025. The title of this message is “Up + Up – Rom. 8:37 – BREAKING OUT OF THE FAILURE SYNDROME”:

The first three words of this message’s title are also the same three words in the title of the below anointed song/video, “Up + Up (with lyrics)” as performed by Colton Dixon.

The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the thirty-seventh verse of the eighth chapter of Romans:

Romans 8:37

New Living Translation - (NLT)

37 Despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

The inspirational message I read on December 30th, 2024, was titled – “BREAKING OUT OF THE FAILURE SYNDROME”. I knew that it was a reminder that I wanted to share in my next message in my “Namma for Christ” blog. I hope you find (some of the excerpts) as inspirational as I did:

BREAKING OUT OF THE FAILURE SYNDROME

  Romans 8:37

When you have been abused, rejected, or abandoned, it’s easy to become shame based and end up with a very poor self-image. The devil knows this, so he will attack your personal confidence whenever he can find an opening. He wants you to believe that you are a failure, because without confidence you will never step out and try to do the things you truly want to do. He does not want you to fulfill God’s plans for your life. If he can make you believe that you are incapable, then you won’t even try to accomplish anything worthwhile. And even if you do make an effort, your fear of failure will seal your defeat, which, because of lack of confidence, you probably expected from the beginning. “This” is often referred to as the “failure syndrome”. You fail because of wrong beliefs, and you continue to have wrong beliefs because you fail. It’s hard to know which came first, but you find yourself in a trap you cannot seem to get out of. What’s the answer? As a redeemed child of God, the Bible says that you are “in Christ”. Jesus defeated Satan and triumphed over him at the cross. And because you are “in Christ’, His victory is your victory. You can break out of the failure syndrome and begin to succeed in life. Here is why: “Despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” Note the words, “despite all these things.” Regardless of what has happened to you in the past, God has a wonderful future in mind for you.

Jeremiah 29:11

New International Version - (NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I’ll Trust You, Lord – 1st Cor. 1:27 – BE WILLING TO LOOK FOOLISH

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred eighty-first inspirational message dated Wednesday, January 1st, 2025. The title of this message is “I’ll Trust You, Lord – 1st Cor. 1:27 – BE WILLING TO LOOK FOOLISH”.

The first four words of this message’s title are also the words of the title of the below anointed song/video, “I’ll Trust You, Lord (with lyrics)” as performed by Donnie McClurkin.

The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the twenty-seventh verse of the first chapter of 1st Corinthians:

1st Corinthians 1:27

New Living Translation - (NLT)

27 But God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And He chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.

The scripture text of “this” message was taken from the “same” scripture text that I read on (October 17th, 2024) in my daily devotional book entitled: “The Word for You Today”.

The inspirational message I read on October 17th, 2024, was titled – “BE WILLING TO LOOK FOOLISH”. I knew that it was a reminder that I wanted to share in my next message in my “Namma for Christ” blog. I hope you find (some of the excerpts) as inspirational as I did:

BE WILLING TO LOOK FOOLISH

  1st Corinthians 1:27

A pastor writes: “Poll after poll has found that most people’s number one fear is speaking in public. Death ranks number two. That means some people would rather die than speak in public. Why? It’s the fear of looking foolish…But faith is the willingness to look foolish. Noah looked foolish building an ark in the desert. Sarah looked foolish buying maternity clothes at ninety. The Israelites looked foolish marching around Jericho blowing trumpets. David looked foolish attacking Goliath with a slingshot…The wise men looked foolish following yonder star. Peter looked foolish stepping out of the boat in the middle of the lake. And Jesus looked foolish hanging half naked on the cross. But that’s the essence of faith. And the results speak for themselves. Noah was saved from the flood. Sarah gave birth to Isaac. The walls of Jericho came tumbling down. David defeated Goliath…The wise men found the Messiah. Peter walked on water. And Jesus rose from the dead…The greatest breakthroughs, miracles, and turning points in Scripture can be traced back to someone who was willing to look foolish.” Why? Read this Scripture: “‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts’(Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV). So here is your choice: Live by earthly thoughts and ways and be accepted by men, or live by heavenly thoughts and ways and be accepted by God. When you see it from that perspective, your choice is clear.

Praise Is What I Do – 2nd Cor. 3:5 – BELIEVE GOD, IN SPITE OF THE ODDS

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred eightieth inspirational message dated Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024. The title of this message is “Praise Is What I Do – 2nd Cor. 3:5 – BELIEVE GOD, IN SPITE OF THE ODDS”.

The first five words of this message’s title are also the words of the title of the below anointed song/video, “Praise Is What I Do (with lyrics)” as performed by Shekinah Glory Ministry.

The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the fifth verse of the third chapter of  2nd Corinthians:

2nd Corinthians 3:5

New King James Version - (NKJV)

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God.

The scripture text of “this” message was taken from the “same” scripture text that I read on (November 21st, 2024) in my daily devotional book entitled: “The Word for You Today”.

The inspirational message I read on November 21st, 2024, was titled – “BELIEVE GOD, IN SPITE OF THE ODDS”. I knew that it was a reminder that I wanted to share in my next message in my “Namma for Christ” blog. I hope you find (some of the excerpts) as inspirational as I did:

BELIEVE GOD, IN SPITE OF THE ODDS

  2nd Corinthians 3:5

Gideon’s army of thirty-two thousand men is enormously outnumbered by the Midianites when God tells him, “You have too many men.” He instructs Gideon to release anyone who is afraid, and Gideon loses two-thirds of his army. Now he has only ten thousand men. At that moment, the odds had to be a million to one. And it even gets better! God directs Gideon to attack the Midianites with trumpets and pitchers. Now for the real kicker: Israel wins! Why did God do it like that? Because if Gideon had attacked with thirty-two thousand men and won, the Israelites would have thought that God didn’t provide much help, and God would have received limited credit. But God is worthy of more. God desires and deserves complete credit. And when three hundred men defeat a massive army with trumpets and pitchers, God receives all the glory (See Judges 7). Why? The reason is a victory like that overcomes all odds. Too frequently, our prayers revolve around requesting God to increase our odds of winning. We would like everything in our favor. But maybe God wants the odds to oppose us so we can encounter a miracle of “divine proportions.” Faith is trusting God no matter how hopeless the odds are. Our impossible circumstances are chances to experience a new height of God’s glory. Are you facing a situation that, humanly speaking, is beyond your ability to cope with? Read this: “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God” (2nd Cor. 3:5 NKJV).

I pray that you have enjoyed the above message and I pray that you will enjoy the accompanied song.

Running Back To You – Rom. 5:1-2 – Grace: God’s Second Chance

This is Namma for Christ with the two hundred seventy-ninth inspirational message dated Friday, November 1st, 2024. The title of this message is “Running Back To You – Rom. 5:1-2 – Grace: God’s Second Chance”.

The first four words of this message’s title are also the words of the title of the below anointed song/video, “Running Back To You (with lyrics)” as performed by Seph Schlueter.

The below passage of scripture (that accompanies this message) is from the first and second verses of the fifth chapter of Romans:

Romans 5:1-2

New King James Version - (NKJV)

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

The title of this message includes the words – Grace: God’s Second Chance – which is the “title” of the late Dr. Charles Stanley’s “In Touch” Daily Devotional for (November 1st, 2024) – which I have included below (Dr. Charles Stanley passed away on 4/18/23). Dr. Charles Stanley was the founder of the “In Touch” daily devotional. Those who work on behalf of this daily devotional are continuing its publication - as it ministers to readers around the world. I recently read the below message and wanted to share this message in “Namma for Christ”.

 Grace: God’s Second Chance

  Romans 5:1-6

Scripture paints a grim picture of mankind apart from the Lord: dead in our sins, under God’s wrath, and subject to eternal separation from Him (Ephesians 2:1-3 see below verses). Through the cross, we are given a second chance to be in a relationship with the Lord. When we trust in Christ, He pours out His unconditional love – and grace – upon us.

       Ephesians 2:1-3

New King James Version - (NKJV)

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

Because of grace, we have been justified by faith. Justification is a declaration by God that we are not guilty in His sight. At salvation, Jesus died on the cross and rescued us from the penalty for our transgressions. All our disobedience – past, present, and future – is fully forgiven.

We gain this remarkable pardon through genuine faith in Jesus Christ – in other words, by acknowledging God’s judgment that we are sinners who need a Savior because we’re unable to save ourselves. True faith rests on the belief that Jesus’s death atoned for our sins, God accepted His Son’s sacrifice on our behalf, and we are fully forgiven. Grace gives us peace with God. Because we’ve trusted in Christ, we’ve been adopted into the heavenly Father’s family (John 1:12-13 see below verses) and have His favor forever.

John 1:12-13

New King James Version - (NKJV)

12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Through grace, we have been offered a fresh start. May we make full use of this opportunity by passionately pursuing God with all our heart.

I pray that you have enjoyed the above message and I pray that you will enjoy the accompanied song.
